CHARIKAR (PAN): A six kilometres road was inaugurated in the Shinwar district of central Parwan province on Monday, an official said on Monday.
Funded by the rural rehabilitation department, the project that cost more than 12,000,000 afghanis ($244,549) took six months to complete, the district chief said.
Saifullah Baidar told Pajhwok Afghan News the five-metre wide road, connecting several areas of the district with the provincial capital, would benefit 600 families.
Five small bridges and a 400-metre protective wall were also constructed as part of the project, the district chief said.
