Pakistani Taliban kill 15 security men
ISLAMABAD (PAN): Pakistani militants on Thursday killed 15 security men in captivity and dumped their naked dead bodies in North Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said.
Bodies of the 15 slain members of the Constabulary Corps, a paramilitary outfit active in the border region with Afghanistan, were found dumped in Shiwa Town close the Afghan border, a security official said on condition of anonymity.
The security men were kidnapped last month during an attack on a security base in Tank area of Dera Ismail Khan.
A spokesman for the Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan, Ehsanullah Ehsan, asserted responsibility for the slaying, saying it was retaliation to a military operation on January 1 in Khyber Agency, where several militants, including a commander, were killed.
