4 rebels killed in Kunar airstrike
ASADABAD (PAN): Four Taliban fighters were killed and another detained as a result of an airstrike by International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Wednesday.
The air attack took place late on Tuesday night in the Dandow area of Sarkani district, Shah Mahmud, administrative chief of the town, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A militants' group wearing Afghan National Army (ANA) uniform wanted to ambush Afghan and foreign troops in the area but they were targeted by an ISAF aircraft.
The rebels' bodies were taken to the district headquarters, he said, adding their identity was yet to be established.
