2 women dead in Helmand blast

LASHKARGAH (PAN were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in the Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province, the Ministry of Interior said on Saturday.

A statement from the ministry blamed the Taliban insurgents for planting the explosive device in the Mataki village of the district. The blast happened late on Friday, it said, denouncing the civilian deaths.
