GHAZNI CITY (PAN): A 20-member insurgent group joined the government-initiated peace process in southern Ghazni province, officials said on Monday.

"The peace effort will continue and more insurgents are expected to surrender," Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada told a ceremony at his office.

Led by Khudamul Furqan, the group members were shown to media representatives with their faces covered. The governor promised the individuals would be provided with work opportunities.
