KABUL (PAN): Cricketers from Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province arrived in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Tuesday.
Invited by the Afghan Cricket Board (ACB), the visitors would play five friendly matches with the board squad at the Ghazi Amanullah International Cricket Stadium, an ACB official said.
Nusratullah Wafa told Pajhwok Afghan News the Pakhtunkhwa side consisted of top players from various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The tour was part of practice for the upcoming one-day international between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates on February 10, the ACB Chairman Nasimullah Danish said. The Pakistanis are the first Test-playing squad that is visiting Afghanistan.
