BAZARAK (PAN): A newly-constructed building for a hostel at a technical school was inaugurated in central Panjsher province on Saturday, an official said.

The US Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT)-funded project cost $229,000 and took 15 months to complete, the education director told Pajhwok Afghan News. Abdul Muqim Halimi said the two-storey building had 36 rooms and a hall.

Deputy Governor Maulana Abdur Rahman Kabiri said the facility would help resolve the accommodation problem for students. The building had the capacity of housing 200 students, he said.
