KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): A five-member militant group, accused of killing government officials and tribal elders, has been busted in southern Kandahar province, officials said on Monday.

The group members were shown to media representatives at the National Directorate of Security (NDS) Department in Kandahar City, the provincial capital.

With alleged ties to insurgents, the gang was involved in killing tribal elders, policemen and other government officials, a NDS official told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity.
