ISAF airstrike in Khost leaves 3 dead
KHOST CITY (PAN): Three people were killed in an International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) airstrike in southeastern Khost province, an Afghan official said on Friday.
In the wake of the overnight air raid in the Lakan area on the periphery of Khost City, the provincial capital, two suspects were detained, a spokesman for the 203rd Thunder Military Corps said.
Capt. Abdullah told Pajhwok Afghan News it remained unclear whether those killed and arrested near the Pakistan border were civilians or militants.
Foreign troops had carried out an airstrike in the area late last night, resident Muhammad Anwar said, adding he had no information about the dead and detainees.
