QALAT (PAN): Ten people, including a police officer, were arrested on robbery charges in two separate operations in southern Zabul province, an official said on Sunday.
An eight-member group, accused of stealing oil from three tankers of foreign troops, was busted in the Senak area on the outskirts of Qalat city on Saturday night, Maj. Ghulam Jealani Farahi, the deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Meanwhile, two other people, including a police officer, were detained in the Hazara area of Qalat city, the police official said, adding the two had allegedly stolen some cash from a civilian house. The two were arrested after residents informed the police.
The detainees were currently being interrogated and would be referred to the justice department after the interrogation was completed, he said.
