TIRINKOT (PAN): A contractor with the police headquarters was killed in a roadside bombing in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Monday.
The explosion happened in the Khairo Kariz area on the outskirts of Tirinkot, the provincial capital, at around 7am, the crime branch chief said.
Col. Gulab Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News the contractor, Hamidullah, was on his way home when a remote-controlled bomb blast ripped through his car..
He said three people, including the contractor’s son, were injured and evacuated to hospital. Their condition is said to be stable.
