ISLAMABAD (PAN): Twenty-one people, including 15 foreign militants, were killed in US drone strikes in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region near the Afghanistan border, officials said on Friday.
The attacks were carried out in different areas of the region on Thursday afternoon, a local government official, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Meanwhile, three volunteers of a pro-government militia were killed and as many injured in Khyber Agency on Thursday night. An armed group attacked the volunteers in the Malak Dinkhel area of Tirah Valley, said Ghuncha Gul, a political administration official.
In another report, security forces insurgent bombarded hideouts in the Orakzai tribal area, killing 12 militants. Further details of the operation were not immediately available.
