KABUL (PAN): President Hamid Karzai on Monday lauded Germany’s efforts at the successful holding of the second Bonn Conference on Afghanistan, his office said.  

At a meeting with German Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Michael Steiner, who paid a farewell call on him, Karzai praised the diplomat’s role in further cementing bilateral ties.

Michael Steiner expressed satisfaction with his mission in Afghanistan and thanked the government for its support and cooperation, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
