The sergeants distributed graduation certificates on completing the training at the Guzra training centre, said Col. Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, the western zone police spokesman.

The graduates would travel to Kabul, where the interior ministry would take a decision on their deployment to a specific area, he said. Ahmadi said another 600 police officers are being trained at the centre.

Abdul Ghafoor, one of the graduates, said he was satisfied with the training process and was sure to be able to serve the nation in a professional way. They learned new methods on how to fight militants and criminals, he said.
