Germany regrets Quran burning incident

KABUL burning incident at the Bagram Airbase in central Parwan province, the Presidential Palace said.

During a telephonic conversation with National Security Advisor Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Guido Westerwelle showed solidarity with Afghanistan on the incident and expressed his deep regrets.

Thousands of people had been rallying across the country against the desecration over the past six days. Scores of people have been killed and wounded in clashes between protestors and security officials.
