Karzai denounces suicide bombing

KABUL.

Nine people were killed and a dozen others wounded when the suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden car near the entrance to the Jalalabad Airfield on the Torkham-Jalalabad highway.

 “The enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan would earn nothing, but Allah’s wrath and people’s hatred, through such acts,” Karzai was quoted as saying in a statement issued from his office.

The president extended his deep condolences to the families of those killed and wounded in the terrorist attack. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
