Weesa seeks Iran’s support for Kandahar development

KANDAHAR CITY (PAN.

Led by Ahmad Subhani, head of the Iranian foreign ministry’s West Asia branch and Tehran’s representative for Afghanistan, the delegation arrived in Kandahar City from northern Balkh province.

Kandahar Governor Toryalay Weesa, at a meeting with the visiting team, called for Iran’s support in various sectors. He also raised the problems being faced by Afghan traders in getting visas for Iran.

Ahmad Subhani promised taking up the issue with higher Iranian officials. Iranian Consul General in Kandahar Ali Asghar Arastana also assured his country’s support for the development of the province.
