Militant facilitator detained in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): A man supplying arms and explosive to militants was detained during a search at a police post in southern Kandahar province on Friday, an official said.

The insurgent facilitator was held in the 6^th police district of Kandahar City, the provincial capital, the governor’s spokesman, Zalmay Ayubi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said two kalashnikovs, 12 hand grenades and a number of explosives were recovered from the detainee’s vehicle. Ayubi added the man was under investigation.
