TIRINKOT (PAN were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in the central province of Uruzgan on Thursday, officials said.
The car’s driver was wounded in the blast that took place in the Siachan village of Dehrawud district early in the morning, police spokesman Farid Ail told Pajhwok Afghan News. He added that most of the bodies were mutilated beyond recognition.
Although, the governor’s spokesman, Syed Maroof Hamdard, blamed the Taliban fighters for the blast, there was no claim of responsibility.

“The bomb blast in Uruzgan is an inhuman act, which is unacceptable in any religion,” a statement issued by the President’s Office quoted Karzai as saying. He shared the grief with the bereaved family.
The incident came a day after eight civilians were killed in a similar attack in Marja district of Helmand province.
