ISAF soldier succumbs to blast wounds in East
KABUL (PAN): A NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier succumbed to his injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in eastern Afghanistan, the alliance said on Friday.
In a brief statement, ISAF said the soldier was injured in a roadside bomb blast but it did not reveal the exact location and the time of the incident.
Mostly American soldiers are stationed in eastern Afghanistan.
With the latest fatality, the number of foreign soldiers killed in Afghanistan rose to 70 since the start of the year.
Last year fatalities touched 566.
