Night avalanche kills 3 in Panjsher

 BAZARAK/TALOQAN (PAN): Three people were killed and a child injured following a night avalanche in Paryan district, in Panjsher province, where livestock were also destroyed.

Hamed Roshan, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, that almost 20 avalanches crippled different areas of the district, causing massive sufferings to local residents.

Moalavi Ahad Ahadi, the district chief, said the Friday night avalanche also destroyed 100 livestock and the injured child was in a stable condition.

Elsewhere, an individual was killed after a house roof caved in due to lashing storms plus heavy snowfall in the northern Takhar province.

Ahmad Asir, the governor’s spokesman, added the misfortune happened on Friday night, where another person suffered injuries.
