Power pylons damaged in Laghman

JALALABAD (PAN): Residents of the Badpash district in eastern Laghman province have damaged power pylon of Naghlo dam, an official said on Sunday.

More than 310 insulators have been smashed with stones, Eng. Mohibur Rahman Momand, the Nangarhar electricity department head, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Insulators in each power pylon around the dam needed repairs, he said, urging the people to look after the poles.

Eng. Ikram Abid, an official of the electricity department in Laghman province, confirmed the damage and said he had sent a letter related on issue to the Wolesi Jirga and the Qarghayee district chief.
