A police was among 11 people injured in a bomb attack in the Sangin district of Helmand, the governor’s spokesman, Daud Ahmadi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The blast happened at 8:30am when an explosives-rigged motorcycle was detonated in the district bazaar, the spokesman said.
Six of the victims were discharged from hospital after first aid, while the rest are still under treatment. Nearby shops were damaged by the explosion.
Separately, one passenger was killed and 11 others were injured when a bus crashed into a van in the Nahr-i-Saraj area of the province, traffic officer Mohammad Daud Noorzai said.
The accident occurred due to careless driving and violation of traffic rules, he said, adding they had sent a team to the site to investigate the collision.
A dead body and 11 wounded people, including women and children, were brought to the Lashkargah Emergency Hospital, a doctor on duty said on condition of anonymity.
