SAR-I-PUL (PAN): A senior counter-terrorism official was killed along with a security guard in a bomb attack in northern Sar-i-Pul province on Friday morning.

A knowledgeable source, who did not want to be named, confided to Pajhwok Afghan News that Mohammad Ayub was killed in the Kohistanat district.

The provincial counter-terrorism officer’s vehicle struck the roadside bomb in Pasni area on his way back to the district centre from a security patrol of the Ganjina village.
