SAR-I-PUL (PAN): Four people were killed, five others wounded and hundreds of acres of cropped land washed away by floods in the northern province of Sar-i-Pul on Thursday.

Nearly 200 houses were damaged due to the flooding caused by a hailstorm in Sar-i-Pul City, Governor Abdul Jabbar Haqbin told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Teams were sent to the area to assess the losses caused by 30-minute rains and hailstorm, said the provincial head of Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority.

Syed Faizullah Sadat said a girl had been missing, nearly 200 houses were damaged and 50 livestock washed away as a result of the floods.
