6 policemen disappear in Zabul

QALAT (PANinfo-icon): Six policemen guarding a check post in Qalat city, the capital of southern Zabul province disappeared, but Talibaninfo-icon said they have joined the movement.

The Interior Ministry (MoI) in a statement said the policemen went missing after their check post come under Taliban attack on Saturday night.

It was unclear whether the policemen managed to flee the scene or they were detained by Taliban militants.

A Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, said seven policemen at a check post in Khado area of Qalat city, had joined their movement as they had previous links with the group.
