KABUL (PAN): Afghan Youth cricket team won a Twenty-20 match against Lahore Gymkhana team in Karachi city of Pakistan and reached the semi finals.
Talking to Pajhwok Afghan News, Nusratullah Wafa, a spokesman of the Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) said the match was played on Monday evening.
The Afghan team won the toss and made 137 runs for 9 wickets, after batting first, said Wafa adding that Shahzad Mohammadi remained the top scorer with 51 runs, followed by Emran Janat with 23 and Samiullah Shinwari with 17 runs.
The spokesman said the Lahore team was all out in 20th over and the Afghan Youth team won the match by 33 runs.
Afghan’s Abdul Qadir took three wickets while Samiullah and Abdullah two wickets each, Wafa concluded.
