GHAZNI CITY (PAN hit a house in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, said an official on Monday.
The governor’s spokesperson, Sabawoon, said the overnight incident happened during a clash between security forces and the Taliban militants.
No security personnel were injured during the fight and operations to flush out militants were still in progress, he added.
Meanwhile, unknown gunmen tried to kill a local elder, who contested the last parliamentary election, in Aab Band district.
However, Sharifullah, a former jihadi commander, suffered injuries and his guest killed during the attempted murder.
The attacker was in a private security uniform, said Sabawoon.
