GHAZNI CITY (PAN): The Deh Yak district chief escaped unhurt but two of his bodyguards were injured in a roadside bomb attack on Monday morning in southern Ghazni province, said an official.
Fazal Ahmad Tolwak, who is also the provincial peace council director, survived the blast, the governor's spokesman, Sabawoon, told Pajhwok Afghan News. In the explosion that happened in Kalajoz area of Ghazni city, the official’s vehicle was damaged.
Resident Rahmatullah said: "We were inside a shop when we heard an explosion and later saw smoke billowing from a police vehicle." He said only one person was injured in the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
