Ghazni City (PAN-Kandahar Highway in the Syedabad district in central Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday morning.
The governor’s spokesperson said the ill-fated passenger car — travelling from Kabul to Ghazni province — hit a roadside bomb in the Salar area of the town at about 7.30am.
Shahidullah Shahid told Pajhwok Afghan News a woman and two children were among the dead.
A doctor at the Ghazni Civil Hospital, Baza Ahmed, confirmed six people were killed and three injured in the blast. Some of the injured are in critical condition.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
