2 killed, 14 injured in Quetta blast
QUETTA (PAN): Two people were killed and another 14 were wounded when a bomb exploded inside a mosque in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s troubled southwestern Balochistan province, during Friday prayers, officials said.
The bomb was planted inside a Tablighi Markaz (centre for preachers) in the Ghausabad area, police officer Mohammad Riaz said.
At least two worshippers were killed and 16 others injured in the blast. Police had launched an investigation into the incident, he said.
A doctor on duty at the Quetta main hospital Dr. Sabir Kakar told Pajhwok Afghan News that three of the wounded people were in a critical condition.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.
