In line with its policy, the NATO-led force neither revealed the soldiers’ nationality nor the exact location of the assaults.

Meanwhile, the Australian defence ministry announced that one of its soldiers was killed on Monday in a militant attack in the Chura district of Uruzgan province.

Australia has 1,500 soldiers in Afghanistan, mostly stationed in Uruzgan. Since the war on terrorism began in Afghanistan a decade ago, 33 Australian soldiers had been killed.

So far in 2012, 224 multinational soldiers had been killed in different security incidents across the country.
