Without revealing the exact location of the incident, the NATO-led force confirmed its two soldiers were injured. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the crash.
In a separate incident, two foreign soldiers were killed in a militant attack and roadside bombings in southern and eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday morning, a statement from the ISAF media office said.
Another wounded soldier in the eastern part of the country succumbed to his injuries later in the day, according to ISAF’s update.
In line with its policy, the alliance neither disclosed the nationalities of the fallen soldiers nor the exact locations of the incidents. Mostly American and British troops are stationed in southern Afghanistan. US soldiers are deployed to the east.
So far during the current year, 242 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, compared to 566 ISAF fatalities in 2010.
