TIRINKOT (PAN in the central province of Uruzgan, officials said on Monday.

The explosion took place at around 5am when Primary Court Judge Maulvi Taj Mohammad was sitting in the mosque after offering morning prayers, a police spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Farid Ayel said the judge was killed on the spot and four other worshippers were injured in the blast. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the mosque bombing.

A doctor on duty at the Uruzgan Civil Hospital, Ezatullah, confirmed receiving one of the injured at the hospital.
