ASADABAD (PAN): About 160 more missiles have been fired from Pakistani territory into two border districts of eastern Kunar province over the past 24 hours, an official said on Tuesday.
A woman and a man were injured as 148 missiles were slammed into Batas and Doli areas of Narai districts, Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Another 12 missiles landed in Sur Kamar and Kachli areas of Dangam district, causing no casualties, he added.
Khan Zamir, a resident of Dangam, said that children fearing cross-border incursions by Pakistani soldiers could not go to school. He asked the government and the international community to resolve the issue.
About 3,000 missiles have been fired into border areas so far during the current year, local officials claim, saying nearly 1,000 families have been displaced.
