    Border police get new building

    GARDEZ (PAN): A newly-constructed complex for the second border police zone has been inaugurated in Gardez city, the capital of southeastern Paktia province, the governor’s office said on Monday.

    Governor Juma Khan Hamdard, military and civil officials participated in the inauguration ceremony for the building constructed over a 20-acre of land, a statement from the governor’s office said.

    The structure which has 16 blocs and other facilities was built by the Corps of Engineers of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the statement added.

    Costing id="mce_marker"7 million, the facility would house 4,000 border police of Paktia, Paktika and Khost provinces
