KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Educationinfo-icon minister was among a number of his ministry employees who donated blood to a blood blank in Kabul on Wednesday.

Education Minister Dr. Farooq Wardak, his deputy and other employees donated 18, 000 CC blood to the young blood bank, an education ministry statement said.

It said the ministry officials had promised donating 500 CC blood to the bank after every three months.

Wardak said he would continue his efforts to promote the culture of blood donation to save precious lives in the war-torn country.
