Ghor mine blast claims 2 lives

CHAGHCHARAN (PAN province, an official said on Friday.

The blast happened inside a quarry near the provincial capital late on Thursday, the deputy police chief of Ghor, Brig. Hen. Hussain Safawi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the explosive device, which was to be used in the quarry, went off prematurely, causing the casualties among workers.

Ghor Civil Hospital Director Dr. Zalmai confirmed receiving two injured workers. One miner, who has had one of his legs blown off and the other broken, is in critical condition.
