KABUL will hold its next presidential elections on April 5, a spokesman for the Independent Election Commission said Tuesday.

IEC spokesman Noor Mohammad Noor said the commission would release the timetable for the 2014 presidential vote as well as the 2015 parliamentary and provincial council elections on Wednesday.

The acting head of IEC secretariat, Zakria Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News on Monday that the commission plans to open registration centres for four months in districts across the country.
