Pakistanis among 12 rebels killed in Zabul
QALAT (PAN): A dozen Taliban, including Pakistani fighters, were killed in a joint military operation by Afghan and NATO-led forces in southern Zabul province, an official said on Thursday.
The two-day offensive concluded today in Khaki area, Shahjoi district chief, Muhammad Siddique, told Pajhwok Afghan News. The dead included two rebel commanders -- Khaksar and Haroon.
Six militants, who had sneaked into the area from Pakistan’s restive tribal region of Waziristan, were among those killed, the official said. The joint force and civilians suffered no harm.
