7 killed in Pakistan coalmine explosion

ISLAMABAD (PAN‘s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed seven workers on Monday, local media reported.

The blast happened in the Doli area of the Orakzai tribal region, DawnNews said. Up to 50 others were injured in the explosion caused by gas in the coal mine.

Residents were recovering the bodies and those trapped inside the mine, one local official told Geo News. Most of the labourers belonged to the Shangla town of Swat Valley.
