5 rebels dead in Nuristan skirmish
By Mahbob Shah Mahbob Dec 29, 2012 - 18:02JALALABAD (PAN): Five militants were killed during a clash with Afghan forces in the Kamdesh district of eastern Nuristan province, an official said on Saturday.
The clash broke out after the insurgents attacked an Afghan National Army (ANA)'s convoy in the town near the Pakistani border, the 201st Selab Military Corps spokesman, Col. Numan Hatifi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Another three attackers were injured during the skirmish, said Hatifi, who did not say if the troops had suffered any casualties. The injured rebels were captured with their guns, the official said.
