Man kills wife in Nangarhar

 JALALABAD (PAN): A man shot dead his 25-year-old wife in what police described an apparent domestic violence incident in the eastern province of Nangarhar, an official said on Wednesday.

The shooting took place in the Manogi village of Chaparhar district in the morning, the town’s administrative head Haji Mohammad Sadiq told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The accused identified as Haider had escaped, but police had launched a manhunt to nab him, he said.

A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Haider was addicted to drugs and involved in “immoral acts”.
