KABUL border on Tuesday.

The near-simultaneous attacks on Arjali and three other paramilitary posts happened in the Shalobar area of Bara sub-district, a private TV channel reported, saying the dead included four Frontier Constabulary and two Khasadar personnel.

According to DawnNews, monitored here, the insurgents used heavy weapons in the assaults, causing major damage to one of the check-posts, which were rebuilt recently.

In restive southwestern Balochistan province, where governor’s rule was imposed a day earlier, several people were wounded during an explosion in Quetta.

Geo News reported the blast occurred on Sibi Road near a cattle market. As rescue workers evacuated the injured to nearby hospital the nature of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
