KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): Four suspected militants were killed in two separate incidents, including a night time security operation by foreign troops, in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Monday.
Two fighters were killed by their own bomb that went off prematurely in Khanabad district on Sunday evening, police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hussaini told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Identified as Mullah Malang and Abdul Rauf, the slain individuals were planting the device on a road in Adam Khan village, he said, claiming Malang was a bomb-making expert, who had been behind a series of roadside bomb attacks against security forces.
Another two rebels were killed during an overnight operation by foreign troops in Kanam Khurd area on the outskirts of Kunduz City, the provincial capital. The dead were identified as Noorullah and Obaidullah, according to the police spokesman.
