KABUL Social Reform and Development Association distributed warm clothing and blankets to nearly 250 deserving families in Kabul, the body said on Thursday.
The group collected 375,000 afghanis and 250 bags of winter clothes over the past two weeks, an official of the association, Noor Mohammad Ataee, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
After identifying the needy households through a survey, the association distributed bags of blankets and clothes to them at the Eidgah Mosque in Kabul. Each bag contained two ladies’ suits and as may for men and children, he said.
A recipient of the assistance from Chehel Satoon, Daud Shah, said: “Allah may give them reward for assisting the poor Afghan people.” He asked the government to pay attention to resolving their financial problems.
