KABUL (PAN): Following two back-to-back losses, Afghanistan take on Bahrain in its last match of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Asia Qualifiers in Doha, an official said on Friday.
Late on Friday, Australia outplayed the national side 6-4 in a duel that produced a string of skillful moves and maneuvers. A day after Oman inflicted a crushing defeat on them.
National Olympic Committee spokesman Mujibur Rahman told Pajhwok Afghan News the two teams remained drawn at 2-2 for quite some time, but the Aussies outfoxed the Afghans later on.
The Afghans trounced the hosts Qatar in the opening encounter of the 16-nations event. The top three teams will find their way to Beach Soccer World Cup, scheduled to be played in France.
