1,500 kg hashish set on fire in Paktika

SHARAN (PAN): Up to 1,500 kilograms of hashish were burnt by police in the southeastern province of Paktika, officials said on Thursday.

The hashish have been seized by police over the past few days in the Mata Khan district and the provincial capital, Sharan, the counter-narcotics department head, Zabihullah Masaud, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Three suspected were detained on charge of the drugs and were referred to judiciary department, he added.

Up to 1,000 kg of the drugs were recovered from Mata Khan district and the 500 kg more hashish were seized in Sharan, the deputy police chief, Amir Shah Zarifi, said.
