Dehrawud district chief's home blown up
TIRINKOT (PAN): The Dehrawud district chief in central Urzgan province on Thursday said a bomb blast ripped through his home gate but his family stayed safe, confirming prior threats from the Taliban.
Aminullah told Pajhwok Afghan News he had shared the threats with security officials, but the Wednesday night attack showed he and his family were unsafe.
But police spokesman Farid Ayaili said they had received no information about the blast aimed at the district chief's residence.
He said the provincial government had granted each district chief 10 police for security.
