2 suspects held at Torkham border
JALALABAD (PAN): Two insurgents, including a Pakistani national, were detained by Afghan guards soon after they crossed the Torkham border into eastern Nangarhar province from Pakistan, officials said on Thursday.
The pair, one of them clad in burqa, was arrested on Wednesday, first border zone police spokesman, Idrees Momand, said. He said one was a Pakistani and the second an Afghan, hailing from the Lalpura district.
Momand said initial interrogations revealed the two wanted to reach Reni Parchaw area in Lalpura for disruptive activities.
Separately, police arrested a man with two kilograms of heroin in the Abdulkhel area of Achin district.
